In The Room is an Emmy-nominated, all access, behind-the-scenes show documenting the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team. The series debuted during the 2011-2012 season and has been growing ever since; our goal, however, hasn’t changed.
Our objective is to tell the story of the Pittsburgh Penguins, both on and off the ice, as sincerely as possible. We strive to take the viewer places they’ve never been, introduce them to the players as people, and make them feel as if they’re part of the team.
Showcasing the personalities and human side of the Pittsburgh Penguins as much as the X’s and O’s of the game helps us appeal to the casual fan while feeding the appetite of the hardcore hockey fan as well.
The life of a hockey player is both glamorous and grueling. Sacrifice, determination and dedication are just a few words to describe their line of work, and it is a full-fledged operation to make sure these athletes can perform at their best. The preparation, treatment, studying, teaching, consoling, celebrating and motivating are all key components to their performance on the ice.
