Flashback to a really young and hung duo played by really young actors (as in "police siren going off" young) who enact shower jerk-offs, blowjobs, and fucking. Back to the present, as a Jeff Fahey-esque Darryl happens into the Glenn''s new young boyfriend - a lanky, sexy, and dimbulb gas station attendant, and asks where he might find his old friend. Meanwhile, poor lost Darryl finds himself chatting up a David Bowie-esque queen at a gay bar, and then wouldn''t you know it, Glenn comes in! Not realizing who the other is (who needs names in 1972?) they skidaddle to the beach and fuck a human-sized gouge in the sand. There''s actually plenty of lovely beach sex, with endless, superfluous footage of waves washing around.
By film''s end, there''s melodrama galore, and a happy reunion with love for everyone.
