Легендарный концерт AC/DC на фестивале Monsters of Rock в Донингтон-Парке в 1991г.
Мой первый и пока единственный рип BD. Я старался, вроде получилось неплохо. Однако исходник достаточно шумный, поэтому качество видео неидеально. Так как это запись концерта, то к звуку я отношусь очень просто: никаких компромиссов, только lossless. Во всех своих музыкальных рипах я стараюсь обеспечить максимальное качество звука, сколько бы места это не требовало. В этом релизе две lossless-дорожки: стерео и 5.1 общим битрейтом почти как у видео. Это занимает место, зато позволяет слушать музыку в первозданном качестве. Я убежден, что люди качают концерты в Full HD ради максимального качества изображения и звука, и поэтому сколь категоричен.
AC/DC initially headlined the Monsters of Rock festival in 1981, when the thunder-from-down-under gang took the huge Donington stage in support of the For Those About to Rock (We Salute You) album. Three years later, the rockin' runts once again closed out the English headbangin' party, and in 1991, AC/DC completed the trifecta by topping the bill once more, with Metallica, the greasy Motley Crue, Queensryche and The Black Crowes filling out the potent line-up.
Out on the road since mid-January of '91, during The Razor's Edge world tour, AC/DC was finely-tuned by the time the boys took the stage at Donington during dusk on August 17, 1991. As daylight gave way to the black curtain of night, AC/DC roared from the stage before the packed-in punters. AC/DC's high voltage set topped a dynamic day of hard rock and heavy metal.
AC/DC's live wire assault at Donington was captured by twenty-six cameras, and the Live at Donington VHS was subsequently offered for sale one year following the intense headlining gig. Eleven years later, a DVD version of Live at Donington was made available to the masses. Featuring 5.1 Surround Sound technolgy, the DVD showcases the legendary AC/DC, headed by hyperactive guitarist Angus Young in his ever-present school boy garb, and armed with a Gibson SG guitar, storming the annual Monsters of Rock festival.
AC/DC's powerful performance throughout Live at Donington is a testament to the group's legendary status. Riffs roll from the hard-wired act as AC/DC blow out one heavy cut after another during the eighteen song set, which opens with "Thunderstruck", and includes "Back in Black", a sixteen-minute bustin'-loose take of "Jailbreak", the slow blooze cruisin' "The Jack", "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap", "Hells Bells", "Whole Lotta Rosie", "T.N.T.", and the devilish "Highway to Hell". The searing show concludes with the canon blastin' "For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)". Fire!
The DVD also adds comical commentary from the Young brothers, as well as a catalog discography.
