LoK:Rebirth is an adult furry game, remade in the spirit of the original one developed in Flash several years ago, first by PlayShapes and then expanded by a bunch of talented enthusiasts at the LoK Forums.
If you didn''t had the chance of playing the original game and its spin-offs, and you''re curious about where LoK:Rebirth takes inspiration from, I highly recommend going here and taking a look!
That being said, LoK:Rebirth is being created mainly by two (full-time) hard working guys: Kuja (art) and Abelius (everything else). Theressomeonehere is also helping us as proofreader/editor.
LoK:R uses Unity3D as development platform and engine, as well as Esoteric Software Spine Pro for animations. This means a big leap in technology and we humbly think it''s showing. Our main priorities are quality, aesthetics and gameplay.
We''ve been developing this little slice of furry heaven for about half a year, and we''re very close to launching a demo version, which will be public for all. And from that point on there will be monthly updates.
"So what''s the story... ?"
Although we have a plan and definite ideas, LoK:Rebirth road map is to be shaped by you guys'' feedback. We will always take in consideration any suggestion and constructive criticism about the direction the game is taking.
In any case, here''s what we have planned, plot-wise, for the immediate future (WARNING: mild spoilers ahead)...:
- Krys will be sent to a jungle planet in pursuit of an escaped criminal, a female lust demon. - Shit happens with her ship and she barely manages to land in a rain forest near the last location of her target...: a village of strange lizard/dinosaur-like people. - Krys learns the lust demon instigated some chaos before moving forward to a location of special religious significance to the natives. - Krys is prevented from pursuing the lust demon unless she proves her worth and helps the clan going back on their feet.
And so the game proper begins!
"But how will the game be played ?"
LoK:Rebirth aims to be a graphic adventure mainly, but you will find light simulation, RPG, beat''em up and strategy elements.
Krys will spend a substantial amount of time living in the midst of the clan, and that will allow for a lot of situations and events, both sexy and non-sexy in nature. If she''s to be allowed to progress into the overarching story she will need to rise in the ranks of the heavily patriarchal clan, and (of course) there will be more than one way to achieve her goals...
Everyday she will need to work for the village and attend to the needs of her betters, until she is trusted with more important tasks and finally given the consideration she needs to ultimately win the favor of the Chieftain.
"OK, that accounts for Adventure, RPG and Sim genres, but what about Beat''em up and Strategy... ?"
As a result of the chaos caused by the lust demon, the strongest clan has been weakened... and this means that other clans could try to take advantage to attack and pillage, taking the clan''s food reserves and fertile females with them.
That obviously can''t be allowed and as Krys gains more prominence within the clan she will have her role in defending the village and even retaliate to prevent further attacks and take some spoils of war of their own.
It goes without saying the huge amount of possibilities this allows for...
Please be advised though, that these features being implemented are ultimately subjected to popular acclaim of our patrons.
And so, a long journey begins...
