Making art — I like to make things that are beautiful and make me feel something,” says Amber of herself. In an orange bikini, Amber enjoys the fresh air as the camera snaps away. “I love my body because it can express emotions and tell a story without words,” she says. “Sometimes I’m more comfortable nude than in clothes. It’s very vulnerable, but also amazing!” For Amber, choosing to pose nude is powerful. “A lot of what it means to me to be empowered is having agency and control of my body,” she says. “It’s so important for everyone, but especially women, to feel strong and respected regardless of [the] choices they make about their bodies.”

“This was an incredible opportunity to create art with the female form in collaboration with Playboy,” says International model, Jessica Lawson. In Byron Bay, Australia, Jessica is happy to be on set with the photographer, Jennifer Stenglein, in her home country. “We reenacted a 1979 cover that featured Bo Derek, which was a timeless shoot,"says Jessica. “I’m all about classic beauty. What an honor to be a part of [this] brand.” When it comes to posing nude, Jessica calls it an act of self-celebration. “Posing nude is celebrating yourself as a woman sitting comfortably in your own skin,” she says. “Sometimes, it’s a journey to get there. It’s a beautiful thought to capture exactly how I am in this moment of my life. It’s something that I will celebrate and look back on when I’m older.”

When she has a bit of downtime, though, Katrine is learning and keeping fit. “I’m a student. I love to read books and go to the gym.”

Kenna James returns to Playboy Plus for the first time since 2015, and we’re thrilled to present our latest collaboration! On set with the photographer, Jacky St. James, Kenna reintroduces herself. “Something people wouldn’t know about me at first glance is I’m a mega nerd,” she laughs. “I’m very passionate about reading and learning.” With a positive outlook, Kenna is all about enjoying each day as it comes. “What makes me, ‘me?’ I love to have fun and take it easy,” she says. “I try not to sweat the small stuff, and I strive to make every day better than the last.” We first shot Kenna back in 2015 when she was 20-years-old. “I have loved every moment I have gotten to work with Playboy,” she says. “I love sharing my body with the world. The human body is one of the great works of art! Why would you want to hide it?”

October celebrations continue with our Playmate, Carolina Ballesteros, as she returns to Playboy Plus with these special outtakes. A lover of all things spooky, Carolina’s shoot reflects her favorite holiday. “For me, every day is Halloween,” she laughs. “I’m always crafting my own crazy looks. I love the goth aesthetic — people might give me weird looks, but I don’t care.” Truly in her element, Carolina enjoyed making her vision come to life for this gallery. “As a Playmate, I have been given so much creative freedom — I felt like a princess on set,” she says. “My photoshoot was inspired by my origins in Spain. We shot from around 11 A.M. to 1:30 A.M. and did about 13 different looks. Sarissle makes a cool and confident debut on location in Calabasas, California, with the photographer, Tina Louise. On the set of a colorful apartment adorned with lush textures, newcomer, Sarissle, tells us about herself. “I am from Los Angeles — it is both busy and full of community,” says the Inglewood native. “The community is what I love the most. I always feel so at home, and I am so appreciative of all that I’ve learned [here] growing up.” A model and artist, Sarissle’s favorite part of creating is the process and the bridge it builds to others. “I went to school for art and sociology,” she shares. “My passion is creating anything meaningful to me and those who are looking for those emotional connections in life. I have found that when I create something, and it allows me to connect with another person, it fuels me to want to do it again and again.”

We’re throwing it back five years to the Fall of ’15 in this week’s Editor’s Choice feature. Get reacquainted with models: Camila Ostende, Kendra Cantara, Gia Ramey Gay, Michaela Isizzu, and Iana Little, in some of our favorite sets of the season. “I’ve been modeling since I was sixteen, and when I moved to LA, I decided to go to a Playboy casting,” says Gia of her Playboy story. Not long after her casting, Gia was named Cybergirl of the Month for November 2015 and 2016 Cybergirl of the Year. “I couldn’t be happier to join the family,” she adds. Also, get to know Iana Little, from Las Vegas. “Everything you’ve heard about [Vegas] is true,” she laughs. “Everything is a party!” Modeling since her early teens, she was thrilled to take her career to Playboy, and we were just as excited to have her. “I’ve been modeling since I was twelve. I have tons of experience with catalog and lingerie, but this is my first time posing nude,” she told us back in 2015. “I’ve always wanted to do Playboy, so when I turned eighteen, I went for it!”

“[At] the beginning of 2020, I told myself it would be my year with Playboy, and look at me now,” smiles newcomer, Hades. With the photographer Cassandra Keyes, Hades is on location in Hollywood Hills, ready for her long-awaited close-up. “One of my many dreams is happening,” she says. On the set of a beautiful large home, Hades tells us more about herself as she spends some time in the garden. “I love to joke around and have fun,” she says. “From looking at me, you wouldn’t think I’m a silly person, but it’s what I love the most — laughing and making other people laugh.” When she’s not on a shoot, Hades loves watching old movies or being creative in other ways. “What do I enjoy doing in my spare time? Painting or thrifting,” she says. “I love old clothes and furniture!”

Newcomer, Steph, makes a pit stop for some gas and a photoshoot. On location in Palmdale, California, with the photographer Cassandra Keyes, Steph makes her Playboy Plus debut on the set of an old servicing station. “I’m pretty chill,” says Steph of herself. “My passion is creating! I’m not good with words; I’m not good with expressing myself, [but] modeling has allowed me to do that like nothing else!” Steph is a fan of the creative process. “I get to have input on most of my shoots, and that keeps my fire going,” she smiles. For Steph, posing nude is about being proud of who she is. “I love it. I grew up being bullied for my figure, so, in a way, I feel like I fell into [posing nude] as a gift to myself,” she says. “It was me accepting myself and being proud of my vessel.”

Elilith Noir returns to Playboy Plus for the first time this year with a pictorial demonstrating one of her unique talents. On set with fire in both hands, Elilith shows off her skills as the photographer, David Merenyi, captures her. “I have a deep passion for art in many forms,” says Elilith. “I love theater, music, literature, and of course, photography.” When it comes to her work as a model, Elilith likes posing nude the most. “I actually feel pretty insecure posing in clothes,” she laughs. “I never know how to do that! Posing nude is like breathing for me — natural.”

Go behind the scenes and get to know Laura Devushcat more intimately. In this unique feature, we’re throwing it back to Laura’s 2019 pictorials shot in Italy with the photographer Cassandra Keyes. “I’m living my best life,” laughs Laura between interview questions. “I love modeling. In 10 years, I hope to be in the same place — I want to continue to be a better model every day!” Being on set with Playboy means a lot to Laura. “What the brand means to me is free and confident women,” she says. “I am happy and blessed to be a part of the Playboy family!”

For this second solo pictorial, Amber Rose blends her two passions: photography and modeling. “My passion? Making art,” says Amber, on location in Portland, Oregon, with the photographer, Tina Louise. Dressed in peach lingerie, Amber poses in a sun-drenched bedroom, taking self-portraits with an old film camera. “My special talent? Being able to shoot my medium format: self-portraits in the mirror!” When it comes to posing nude, Amber wouldn’t have it any other way. “It’s very vulnerable,” she says. “When you take back control and use your body however you want to, I think that’s very empowering.” In her free time, Amber loves being outside. “When I’m not taking photos, I’m probably hiking with my dog,” she says.

“I believe the most important quality a person can have is authenticity,” says newcomer River. On location in San Francisco, California, River is proud to make her Playboy Plus debut with the photographer, Sophia Sinclair. “I feel liberated,” smiles River, posing with a paintbrush in-hand. A true creative, River is always aiming to challenge herself when it comes to her art. “I felt very comfortable on set and loved being able to share and pose with my paintings,” she says. “I don’t have much painting experience, so I enjoyed the fact that this challenged me and gave me the opportunity to express a side of myself that usually doesn’t come out to play.” For River, there is so much joy that comes from posing nude. “There is nothing to hide behind — no sexy outfit, no fancy high-heels; it’s just you and your naked body,” she says. “I celebrate and praise my body. I am eternally grateful for this vessel of mine.”

Something wicked this way comes in this themed pictorial from newcomer Aubrey Destremps. On set with the photographer, Carianne Older, Aubrey makes one hell of a debut. “I don’t remember when exactly I first discovered Playboy because I feel like it’s been around my entire life,” says Aubrey. “I do know it’s always been a name I aspired to work with,” she adds, dressed in all red lingerie and rubber gloves. “This experience has been very exciting and positive for me.” Working on her best evil laugh as the camera snaps away, it’s clear Aubrey was the perfect fit for this Halloween-themed shoot. “Posing nude isn’t intimidating when you can do it in the right creative environment,” she shares. “Empowerment means different things for different women, but I feel most empowered when I do things like shoot for Playboy! To own your body and be comfortable in nothing but your own skin for the world to see is an accomplishment.”

Catjira is in her element. "Yes, please! Especially for Halloween," replied Cat back in July, when we asked if she would want to shoot again. Now she''s back for her favorite holiday. "If you couldn''t tell by my [sets,] I''m obsessed with Halloween," she laughs. On set with the photographer, Marcos Rivera, Catjira poses with cauldrons, crystal balls, skulls, and much more to get everyone in the spooky spirit. "My biggest passions are finding happiness and mental stability," she says. "I have found a huge piece of that in creativity. I''ve been able to center my job, which happens to be my world, around being creative." For Catjira, posing nude is a statement she''s proud to make. "Words I live by? ''My body, my choice,''" she begins. "I feel absolutely cool being a part of Playboy. It''s been empowering and inspiring for me as a woman." Catjira looks for someone respectful, funny, and who also shares her love of horror when it comes to dating. "The sexiest thing [is] a man who respects women. This includes respecting our choices with our bodies," she says. "Also, if you don''t like horror movies, it''s a deal-breaker."
