The patch covers the following: - Retranslated English for all the menus and configuration settings. - Retranslated English for all of the names of maps. - Retranslated English for all the tutorial text. - Retranslated English for all the in-game tips. - Retranslated English for the common game-related and sex-related messages. - Retranslated English for most of the early cut scenes. - More retranslated English I can't easily categorize or remember offhand.
What this patch does NOT change: - Any of the game's core assets. The images, sounds, etc. are NOT changed, and CANNOT be changed. It only patches the English translation. - The names and descriptions of items, player states, skills, and other entities with text fields which are stored in the database. The database seems to be protected with an extra layer of anti-tamper security. Unfortunately, this means that, for example, I couldn't retranslate Slant-Walk as "Diagonal Move" in the tutorial, and I was unable to translate the kanji message that pops up every time you trip. You will just have to settle for the Engrish names/messages in many cases. - Most events/cut scenes for maps later in the game. It's possible, but I just didn't take the time to do it. I was focused on making sure that someone who starts a game will be able to understand as much as possible.
