If there was anyone who defined reggae in the mid-1970s--giving it a face and a voice--it was Bob Marley. THE BEST OF THE EARLY YEARS finds the legendary Marley and the Wailers performing live with righteous fervor, playing songs that would later become world-famous, including "Duppy Conqueror," "Trench Town Rock," "Lively Up Yourself," "Kaya," "Keep On Moving," and "Concrete Jungle."
This exciting Dualdisc collection features his early seminal work from the late 60s, along with the best collaborations with the legendary Lee "Scratch" Perry. This collection illustrates the developing talents of a man who rose from the ghettos of Kingston to become the Third World's first international superstar. The video side features the complete album in 5.1 surround sound, artist photos, liner notes, weblinks, and portable music files.
