Malcolm Vaughan (22 March 1929 – 9 February 2010) was a Welsh traditional pop music singer and actor. Known for his distinctive tenor voice, he had a number of chart hits in the United Kingdom during the 1950s.
Album tracks also feature, and I particularly enjoyed oldies LOOK FOR THE SILVER LINING, LADY OF SPAIN, IF YOU WERE THE ONLY GIRL IN THE WORLD, and WHERE OR WHEN which must have shifted large quantities of vinyl. Show songs also appealed to Malcolm with AND THIS IS MY BELOVED, HELLO YOUNG LOVERS, IF I LOVED YOU and SMALL TALK amongst those that fitted his style. His final recordings, THE LOVE OF A LIFETIME and THIS SIDE OF HEAVEN, were released in 1963 and soon after the curtain fell on his singing career - no doubt due to changing tastes in music. All the more reason to applaud this compilation which will fill gaps in collections of his fans and appeal to those who missed out on Malcolm's strong vocal style the first time around.
